Role play session

I had the privilege to attend the Stave House (Level 1-4) training in Singapore. The four-day training, started 10 July 2017, was conducted by Ruth, the founder of Stave House UK. It was a refreshing time, and the course is very suitable for young music learners.

The course is designed in such a way that the young learners can recognize the notes on treble clef, bass clef and even alto clef by singing songs. I have tested on my own children and even the 5 year-old one can recognize all the notes on these three clefs.

We will commerce Stave House Course for kids (age from 4-12), starting January 2018.

Pianist Training 17-18 Oct 2017

MY Music had conducted two workshops on 17th and 18th October 2017. The first workshop, was conducted by Mr. Lam Siu Chong-the conductor of PJPO, with main focus on the responsibilities of a church hymnal pianist. He also explained the tasks and calling of a church pianist. Mr. Lam has been serving a church pianist for over 50 years.

The second workshop was conducted by Mr. Chua Loke Shen. He shared and explained the concept of harmony, from the pop jazz point of view.

Workshop by Mr. David Whittaker

Mr. David Whittaker, the senior examiner of London College of Music Examinations (LCME), had conducted a workshop on 29 November 2017 at MY Music Sibiyu. He explained the important of music theory in application to the music practically. He also shared his thoughts from his 30-year examining experience with LCME.
